Description

Between Duty and Faith Israeli Painting is available as a reproduction on canvas or metal in 2 options: limited and open edition.

– Limited edition on canvas comes hand embellished, framed, numbered and signed by Alex Levin. This edition is limited to only 25 signed prints that ever will be published. This makes it more unique and collectable. Once that specific print run sells out, there will be no other editions of that image made by the artist.
– Open edition available on canvas or metal. Canvas comes fully framed and has a traditional, classic look. Metal edition made from high-quality aluminum. It has a modern and contemporary look. Reflects light and enhances the colors in the artwork.

Both the limited and open editions are ready-to-hang wall art. The canvas reproduction arrives beautifully stretched and elegantly framed to add a touch of sophistication to your space, ready for hanging on your wall.
Each reproduction is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, ensuring that you receive an original and authentic piece of art.

On the vintage newspaper from 1967, which is depicted in the background of my picture, the headline is that the Israeli army has reclaimed its territories and entered Jerusalem. This headline was not only a symbol of our victory, but also a symbol of the hope that was reborn in our country at that moment.
The officer in my picture is an Israeli army paratrooper. He stands at the wailing wall, holding a machine gun and praying. Deep feelings and emotions are reflected on his face, and I tried to convey this in my work.
It symbolizes our national readiness to defend our country and our courage. It also conveys the importance of our culture and our religious identity, which were important factors in our struggle for independence.
I hope that my painting conveys all these emotions and feelings to the viewers and reminds them of the significance of our victory and that we must fight for our freedom and defend our country.
