Contact me about this Painting
My painting, Light of Faith at the Western Wall, seeks to immerse the viewer in the profound atmosphere of Jerusalem and its sacred traditions. On the canvas, blurred silhouettes of worshippers praying at the Western Wall seem to dissolve into the background, representing the merging of the material world with the spiritual realm. Above them, golden and silver strokes symbolize divine light, illuminating the figures and infusing the scene with a sense of holiness.
I chose a color palette rich in shades of blue and lilac to evoke a feeling of peace and serenity. These colors capture the transitions of dawn and dusk—moments when the boundaries between the earthly and the divine seem to fade. Through the blurred forms and semi-abstract imagery, I aimed to express humanity’s timeless quest for spiritual light and divine truth.
The use of gold leaf adds depth and highlights the sanctity of the Western Wall or Kotel. It is more than an ancient stone structure—it stands as a symbol of resilience, faith, and hope that bridges generations. With Light of Faith at the Western Wall, I wanted to convey that the spiritual journey is not just a physical act but an inner quest for light and truth, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own path of faith and connection.
