As an Israeli artist, I, Alex Levin, aim to create art that does more than catch the eye?it?s meant to immerse you in deep reflection and awaken a connection to the sacred. My work is rooted in reverence for tradition and a search for light, even in the soul?s darkest corners. One of my most meaningful recent works, Light from Heaven over the Kotel, marks a turning point in my creative journey. In this piece, I use gold leaf to reflect the radiance and divine presence that resonates at the Western Wall. The praying figures, rendered in flowing shades of blue and white, seem to dissolve into streams of light. This symbolizes the unity of humanity with higher forces?a connection that transcends time.
