Contact me about This Painting
This painting reflects the eternal journey of Jewish people – an unbroken movement through centuries, through trials and hopes. The white tallitot symbolize the purity of faith and our everlasting connection to the Creator. I don’t see mere individuals here; I see souls passing from generation to generation, like a river that never stops flowing. This is the Exodus from Egypt, the long trek through deserts, the exiles to Babylon, Spain, and Eastern Europe. It is the fleeing from wars, pogroms, and the Holocaust, but also the return to ourselves and our roots.
The gold shining above us is the light of the Almighty, His presence that never leaves us, even in the darkest of times. It represents hope for the promised future, for Jerusalem, which has always awaited us and called us home. I feel that this path is not just our history but our eternal mission. We carry within us light and faith, no matter what has been endured, and we continue to move forward.
This abstract Jerusalem painting is not about reaching an endpoint. It is about the movement itself, the journey that never ceases. Our people, as a single entity, move through the ages with a prayer that connects the past, present, and future.
