The art world has long been fascinated by the city of Jerusalem, which was captured by Israel in 1967. Artists have often used this location for inspiration, creating some of their best known works. The artworks in this collection were created by artists living in Jerusalem, Israel. They are all original works of art that have been hand crafted by these talented individuals. The Blue Rider

One of the most well-known paintings by Marc Chagall is “The Blue Rider” (1912). This painting depicts a young man riding a white horse across an open field with a blue sky above him. It was inspired by a dream he had while staying at a hotel in the French Alps.

The Dancing Lilies

The other major work by Chagall in Jerusalem is “Dancing Lilies” (1913), which shows two women dancing together. He painted this piece after visiting the city during World War I.

The Four Seasons

The four seasons are an integral part of life in Israel. They represent the changing nature of the country throughout the year. Spring is characterized by green grass and flowers; summer brings warmth and sunshine; autumn is marked by colorful leaves and falling fruit; winter is cold and dark.

The Great Synagogue

The Great Synagogue was founded in 1555 by Pope Paul IV as a center of Jewish learning and culture. It was located at the corner of Via del Corso and Piazza Navona. The synagogue was destroyed during World War II.

The Harlequin

The Harlequin window is one of the most recognizable features of the Great Synagogue. It consists of a series of paintings depicting scenes from the life of King David.

The Garden of Gethsemane (oil on canvas)

This beautiful Jerusalem painting depicts the garden of Gethsemani, where Jesus spent his last days before he was crucified. It’s one of the most famous sites in Jerusalem.

The Last Supper (oil on canvas) – Jesus meets with his disciples before he dies

This painting shows Jesus meeting with his 12 disciples at the Last Supper. He tells them that he will soon die and go to heaven. They ask him what they should do while he is gone. Jesus says that they should continue to follow him and serve others.

The Crucifixion (oil on canvas) – Jesus hangs on the cross

The Crucifixation (oil on canvas) was painted by Israeli artist Yigal Tumarkin. It depicts Jesus hanging on the cross during the crucifixion. In the background, Mary Magdalene is seen kneeling before the tomb where Jesus’ body lies. She is weeping and holding a cloth to her face.

The Resurrection (oil on canvas)– Jesus rises from the dead

This painting was done by Israeli artist Shlomo Bar-Or. It shows Jesus rising from the dead with his arms outstretched. He is surrounded by angels who are singing praises to God.

The Garden of Gethsemane (Oil)

This painting depicts the garden where Jesus prayed before he was arrested. It’s a beautiful scene of Jesus praying while two angels stand at either side of him.
