I painted this work as a reflection of a world made up of many facets. That is why everything is broken into geometric forms, as if reality is composed of thoughts, emotions, and states of the soul. Yet within all this movement, there is a point that remains unchanged the gaze of the Rebbe. It brings everything back into unity.

The warm golden tones represent the light of the Torah. The cool blues reflect depth of faith and the inner world of a person. I made the Torah scroll luminous because it is the center around which everything finds meaning.

This painting is about how, within many scattered parts, one can perceive a single light and feel an inner wholeness.

As the Lubavitcher Rebbe said: “A little bit of light pushes away a lot of darkness.”
