In this painting I wanted to capture a quiet moment of eternity, when a person and nature seem to pause before the majesty of Jerusalem. The ancient olive tree symbolizes time that has passed through thousands of years while continuing to watch over the city. The shepherd and his sheep remind us of the simple biblical life that once filled these hills. Through this scene I tried to convey a feeling of peace, light, and a deep connection between people and the land of Israel.
