I created this painting to illustrate how love can be both beautiful and fragile, demanding sacrifice and care. The two lovers in the painting are transformed into candles, their bodies melting like wax as they embrace each other. Through their unity, I wanted to convey the passion and connection that bind people together.
The flames on their heads symbolize life and the energy of love. They burn brightly, radiating warmth, but they also need careful attention to keep from extinguishing. The drops of wax running down their bodies represent the sacrifices we make for love, the emotional wounds, and the transformations that inevitably come with it.
The pearls and ornaments in the woman?s hair symbolize the precious value of love. Like rare gemstones, love requires care and devotion to preserve its beauty. Every detail in her appearance reminds us that love is an art form, something we must nurture and protect.
In the background, I painted rolling hills and a winding road. This represents the journey of life that lovers travel together?a path full of challenges, but also incredible beauty. The small candle at the bottom of the painting signifies the legacy of love?its warmth, its light, and the traces it leaves behind.
For me, this painting is an attempt to show that love is both a force that can illuminate and warm our lives, and a delicate flame that must be carefully tended.
