Today I’m inviting you to the most unusual city in Israel, old Jaffa or Yafo. They say that this is one of the oldest ports in the world. The painting that I painted few years ago is a view from the Jaffa port to Tel Aviv. The reflection of the boats, the colors and the vibe of the evening Tel Aviv, the reflection of the moon in the houses of Yafo interesting me in this painting. This is one of my favorite works because in it I was able to depict all the beauty of evening Tel Aviv and the bright colors of the old port. To create such a painting, I was using very thin brushes # 0 and 00 to paint every house of this amazing city on the water so accurately.
Name Tel Aviv translates like Tel (very old mound) with the layers of land from many thousand years and Aviv (something new, Spring).
On this painting we can see one of the oldest ports in the world and in the background is Tel Aviv, something new, raised only 100 years ago. We can see the light which separates the darkness like the saying in the Torah: that even a small ray of light can overcome darkness. You can see the lights of Jaffa and Tel Aviv, lighting up again after thousands of years of wandering.
This painting is a symbol of Jewish revival.
